The album "Colors in My Mind" is the result of sounds and ideas that combined people who made this recording possible.They were unexpectedly part of a sort of destiny that brought it all together. They were the perfect combination of humbleness, modesty and hard working people that lead to the result of the sounds I have in my mind and that I wanted to hear in my first album.

The recording, mix and master of Colors in My Mind was made in New York with one of the greatest people I've ever met from 23dB productions, Fela Davis and Denis Orynbekov.

The musicians that are part of the album are also part of my closest friends, pianist Gabriel Chakarji, vibraphonist Juan Diego Villalobos and singer Carmela Ramírez. We also had the amazing company of Tal Mashiach on double bass, Leonor Falcón on violin, Brian Sanders on cello and Pablo Gonzalez Sarre on bass guitar.

The artwork was found at the perfect moment by the perfect artist Manu Cyr. It visually describes the sounds of the album.

Since 2016 Yilmer became the first Venezuelan musician to belong to Cirque du Soleil as the drummer of the show Luzia.

In 2018 his first album Colors in My Mind, expresses with particular creativity all his influences, knowledge and musical richness through a mixture of rhythms, ideas and sound contrasts.
